HAI UPB House Controller, 8 Button

A House Status Switch (also known as a House Controller) acts as the master lighting control that shows the status for up to eight rooms. If any light is on in one of its rooms, the button for that room is illuminated. Pressing the House Status Switch button will turn all of the lights in that room on or off.

The default color for a House Status Switch is White. House Status Switch Color Change Kits (HAI Part Number 38A05-color code) are available in White (WH), Ivory (IV), Almond (AL), Light Almond (LTA), Brown (BR), Gray (GR), and Black (BL) colors.

The buttons may be custom laser engraved with their room names using HAI Part Number 38A06-2. House Controllers are an optional device in an HLC System for controlling 8 rooms of lighting when used with an HAI automation controller; however, it can also be used as a general purpose 8 button keypad controller when used with or without an automation controller.

When used with an HAI automation controller, the House Controller acts as a master lighting control, showing the status of the lights in 8 rooms and allowing you to turn the lights on or off in each of these rooms.

If a button is lit, one or more lights in the room is on. Pressing a lighted button turns off all of the lights in that room. When a non-lighted button is pressed all of the lights in that room are turned on.

When used with an HAI automation controller, the House Controller is fully customizable through HAI's standard setup. For example, a House Controller button in a home theater room may be set to run a program within the automation controller that shuts the room's outside curtains, opens the curtains in front of the theater screen, adjusts the temperature to a cozy setting, and dims the room's lights to an optimal setting to watch a movie.

When used without an HAI automation controller, the House Controller can also be configured to control lighting scenes throughout the house or to toggle between two different actions (i.e. turn lighting load on...turn lighting load off) each time a pushbutton is pressed. Likewise the LED indicator behind the pushbutton will toggle when the pushbutton is pressed.

The buttons may be custom laser engraved with their room names or functions using HAI Part Number 38A06-2.
