Model URD is a wire-in duplex receptacle designed to control the operation of 120VAC appliances and lighting based on digital commands received over the powerline. The receptacle communicates using the highly-reliable Universal Powerline Bus (UPB) technology. UPB devices such as Model URD are easily integrated to provide a flexible, low-cost alternative to hardwired or RF home automation strategies.

Model URD delivers on/off control for lighting and appliances up to 12A. The receptacle fits a standard outlet box and connects directly to the existing household power wiring. Power to the top outlet is controlled by UPB commands, while the bottom outlet is always powered. The device connected to the top outletcan be operated manually using a UPB wall switch or multi-button controller, orautomatically via PC or home automation server.

The ELK-9200 is a Heavy Duty Relay/Contactor inside a lockable metal enclosure. It is designed for remotely controlling high current devices such as electric water heaters, pumps, motors, gates, etc. The energizing coil of the 9200 is 110 VAC, however its relay contacts are capable of switching 220 VAC at up to 60 Amps of current. The relay coil is prewired with a three (3) prong plug-in cord. This plug is compatible with virtually any appliance style automation module (purchased separately) including: UPB, Insteon, ZWave, Zigbee, X10, etc. A simple remote command can be sent to activate the lower current automation module, which in turn then activates the higher current contacts of the 9200 relay. This permits the safe and easy On/Off switching of up to 60 Amps of electrical current

Each unit has one switch that controls a single load of up to 900W. All rockers and buttons are transmitters and receivers able to communicate with UPB plug-in modules and/or other UPB devices to control virtually anything.

The outputs deliver on/off control for low-power electrical devices such as door strikes, drapery controls, central vacuum controls, electric fireplace actuators, garage door openers, sprinkler valves, etc. Installation is simple: the module is plugged into a standard 120VAC outlet and the devices to be monitored/controlled are wired into a terminal block on the bottom of the module. A non-controlled 120VAC outlet is also provided on the face of the module.
