Dual Flood Motion Detector
As the days get shorter, the need for outdoor security increases. A burglar or violent person can use the darkness to hide undetected as they sneak up on someone in your family or break into your home.

The Outdoor Motion Monitor can turn on up to 8 different devices inside/outside your home so you'll not only scareoff intruders with light, but notify people inside your home that something or someone is lurking outside.

In addition to turning on dual floodlights when the detector picks up motion, the Outdoor Motion Monitor can turn on up to four X10 modules in or around your home based on motion. It also includes a light sensor which can turn up to four additional X10 modules at dusk and off again at dawn. Security and convenience applications for this product are endless. Activate indoor or outdoor lighting, or sound the Remote Chime to alert you when someone approaches.

The Outdoor Motion Monitor is completely weatherproof and can be used with incandescent or halogen bulbs rated for 150W. The floodlights can also be turned on manually from an X10 transmitter. When it is turned on manually, the floodlights stay on and the motion detection is temporarily disabled until the floodlights are turned off from an X10 transmitter.

Gray. Bulbs not included.

RAIN8
2 Pics
Irrigation Controller,8-Zone
The Rain8 is a full featured, 8 zone irrigation controller that may be linked together to provide a maximum of 256 zones of operation. A must for automating lawn sprinkler systems.

A complete irrigation schedule can be triggered by the reception of a single X10 power line carrier command. With its dual mode capability, each individual zone can be controlled independently if the user prefers.

Using a PC and our software all aspects of irrigation may be controlled over the Internet.

To configure the Rain8 you connect it to your computer (Windows or Mac) and run the configuration utility application. This allows you to define the X10 address zone assignments and set the operational mode. For maximum flexibility, once programmed you can run the Rain8 in two different operational modes:

The Rain8 can be used with nothing more than X10's Mini Timer. Anything that can generate a X10 command can trigger a complete irrigation sequence, cycling through all eight zones. When one zone times out, the next one starts. In this instance the time settings for each zone are stored internally. The Rain8 provides for two independent schedules, each with its own X10 trigger assignment and run times. More info...

A home automation program may generate X10 power line carrier signals to start and stop each zone. The actual timing controls, in this mode, are located in this PC program. This provides an easy means of adjusting run times for seasonal irrigation changes. As a safeguard, the user can set the maximum "valve on" time for each zone anywhere from 1 to 240 minutes. This guarantees that the sprinkler valve will turn off even in the absence of an X10 OFF command. As each sprinkler valve has its own default setting, this guarantees a minimum of wasted water in the advent of a lost X10 signal. Another safeguard to help in the conservation of water is the inter lock feature. Only one sprinkler valve is allowed on at a time.

NEW!

With the 2-way version (WG-RAIN8II below), you can determine which irrigation zones are on and which are off. Designed for use with X10-compatible computer interfaces and other devices that can generate the X10 Status Request command. In addition to giving you the power to poll irrigation zones to determine their on/off status, it also allows your computer send a command to the module then check to see if the command was carried out. If not, the computer can automatically send the command again.

RAIN8NET
Irrigation Controller,8-Zone
The Rain8net is a modular 8-zone sprinkler controller module that can be controlled over the Internet by any computer. It is capable of driving standard 24VAC irrigation valves directly.

Additional modules may be daisy chained to provide control and 24 VAC power to as many as 2040 irrigation zones from a single COMor USB port.

There is a single RS232 connection between the controlling computer and the 'master' Rain8. The distance between the computer and the controller is up to 1000' and requires only 3 wires: TX, RX and GND.

The 24VAC power and network communications are transferred from master to slave-to-slave etc.

The network connection for the slave units is an 8 conductor RJ45. Each slave has a pair of these modular jacks to pass on data and power to the next one in a daisy chain. Each slave also has a RS232 connection that is used only to assign the address during the initial configuration.
