The 686 is a stand alone switcher that allows the installer and user to turn six pairs of speakers ON and OFF by way of infrared commands. A particular room may be given the ability to trunk only its own speakers on or off. Another room, such as the main control room, may be given control of the entire house in a 'party mode'. The 686 does not require a 670 Smart Switch Controller.
Switchable 4-ohm series resistor for amplifier protection.
Isolated Left and Right Grounds. Allows use of Bridging type power amplifiers.
4-terminal IR input for Xantech IR receivers, Smart Pads and other devices.
Programming and ID code switches permit Toggle, Pair and Group mode settings as well as different IR codes for use of multiple 686's in the same system.
Universal mounting fits 19-inch racks or any 3 1/2x19 surface. Projects about 2 3/4 inches behind panel with cables connected.
IRS232 Module provides IR control of advanced components such as projectors andlighting systems that would normally be controlled via RS232 with exotic controllers or automated systems.
