Coax Compression Tools

Main Category Icon
There are two broad methods of attaching connectors to coaxial cable; The crimp method crimps an outer band of metal towards the cable to hold the cable in place. This is an older method and often results in connections that can pull apart. The compression method presses two parts of the connector together longitudinally. Internally, bits and pieces (usually plastic) deform to grip the coaxial cable tightly, creating a seal that will not allow water into the cable and will not pull apart.
