Maybe you've seen the metal fishtape the electricians use. Maybe you've even used it. If you have, you'll instantly recognize why the FiberSnake is so much better! Electricians use fishtape to 'fish' wires from one point to another. Like down the insides of walls, across attics, etc. The idea is that you work the 'stiffer' material through where you need the wire to go, attach the wire onto the end, then pull it back out pulling the wire into place. Metal fishtape tends to retain its bend and is very difficult to work with when extended. The FiberSnake has practically no bend to it when deployed from the simple, easy to use carrier. It doesn't conduct electricity, it is lighter than metal fishtape, and the bullnose on the end is smaller to fit through tighter spaces.
