Troubleshooting video distribution systems can be difficult to impossible without some way of measuring signal levels within the cable. The only way we know of is with an RF signal level meter like one of these. Measure the strength of each separate video 'channel' independently so you will know if you need to amplify the whole band, or just part of it.
