Optimized for HDTV Reception The new TERK TV55 is a high-performance indoor/outdoor antenna engineered for clear, powerful reception of HDTV broadcasts. The TV55 is a broadband helical antenna with a unique coiled reception elementthat allows for a compact, slim-profile design while providing the power of a larger antenna.

Indoor/Outdoor Mounting Flexibility The TV55's slim-profile design allows a wide variety of indoor and outdoor mounting options. The TV55 can be installed almost anywhere outside or inside the home-under the eaves of a roof, on a windowsill, as a roof-top antenna or in many more locations. It can even be mounted on top of an RV or boat.

This antenna is electrically virtually identical to the Channel Master 4228. The main difference is that this antenna is shipped 'broken down' in a much smaller box. It is therefore easier and cheaper to ship, and can be installed in locations, such as an attic, that the 4228 would not fit into.

This antenna is often used to receive HDTV signals broadcast on the UHF band. The high gain and directionality make this our best antenna for HDTV reception in the Bay Area. In this area, most HDTV stations are on the UHF band and broadcast from one tower in San Francisco. Included is a kit that allows the antenna to be connected directly to a 75 ohm coax cable. It includes the balun, weather boot and S clip.
