The DVI-I connection (must be the -I version!) contains analog video. So it is possible to "adapt" a DVI-I connector to component video with a simple device. This will
not work with the more common DVI-D connection! This doesn't come up very often, but when it does, it's usually associated with a computer output, often with Apple products. (DVI-I is related to the Apple ADC connector.)
