In the past, HomeTech has carried many versions of analog and digital video recorders. While these units technically 'worked', it seemed like there was always some important feature missing or certain aspects of their performance was unacceptable. So we decided to stop carrying any DVRs and begin and exhaustive searchfor a usable product line. After more than a year and dozens of evaluations we are happy to announce that we finally found a unit that meets our demanding requirements!

We had many requirements this unit had to meet, but the most important was that the unit had to be programmable, and usable, over the internet or an internal network. We have seen many machines that have a network port, but theusability over the network (much less the internet) was inevitably either crippled (limited or no programmability), or so slow that it was essentially unusable.

When evaluating this unit, we did what many of our customers want to do with their DVR...we hooked it up, programmed the network connection, and closed thedoor to the shelf where the unit is hidden. We then programmed and used the unit without ever going back to the hiding place! We even cought video of two thefts behind our store!

These units aren't the cheapest ones around, but they arethe least expensive units we could find that will satisfy our demanding customers.

This 4-channel Network Digital Video Recorder (NDVR) is the perfect tool to monitor the safety and security of your home. The NDVR connects to any analog surveillance camera, including HAI’s Indoor Dome Camera (HAI Part Number 68A01-1) and HAI’s Day/Night Color Bullet Camera (HAI Part Number 68A02-1).

The NDVR may be installed stand-alone, with video viewed via its embedded web server or used in conjunction with an HAI home control system where cameras can be viewed on the OmniTouch 5.7e, OmniTouch 8, OmniTouch Portables, over the Internet, or your Smartphone.

The NDVR records video based on motion or any other chosen event and the recordings may be viewed on or offsite. Included client software allows you to view live and recorded video for up to 16 cameras at the same time. You may implement multiple NDVR's in one installation.

The NDVR comes with a power supply.

The NDVR comes with a CD that includes Central Management Software (CMS) and User Guide, IP Setup Wizard, ActiveX Installer, DVR Quick Installation Guide, DVR Installation and User Guide, Indoor Dome Camera Manual, and Color Bullet Camera Manual.

The NDVR is designed so that it may be wall mounted or used with an optional Mounting Plate (HAI Part Number 68A04-1 or 68A04-2).

Combining fully welded 16-gauge steel construction with a unique mechanically interlocking lid design, the VLBX Series lockboxes provide high security with easy equipment access.

Two models are available, the VLBX-5.5 accommodates lower profile VTRs and is finished in a durable black powdercoat, while the VLBX accommodates larger decks and is also finished in a durable black powdercoat. Both models include an installed 4 1/2" fan (95 CFMR), washable filter, and rubber feet.

The standard keylocked solid hinging front doors allows easy equipment access, while the mechanically interlocking top provides added security, yet removes easily for equipment servicing.
