2 switchers in one! Component Video and Toslink.
New Audio and Video devices are being introduced to the market everyday. Two of the most common new formats being used is Component video and Toslink Audio. The challenge is that not everyone has electronics that can accept multiple inputs. This creates a problem.
Consider that problem solved.
We have a switcher that solves this problem. Once you hook it up all you have to do is touch a button on the included remote or on the switcher itself.
Not only will this unit work flawlessly with standard signals it will also work with High Definition Resolution. It is compatible with HDTV or SDTV formats: 480i/p, 720p and 1080i.
Active electronic switching offers flawless and seamless switching and crystal-clear distribution of all HDTV and SDTV video formats as well as digital optical/Toslink and standard RCA audio signals without any signal degradation.

The active circuitry in this switch will provide flawless, seamless switching as well as optimal HDTV and SDTV audio video quality.

Controling the switcher - Compact Infrared Remote Control is included: Simply select the input on the remote and that performs the switching. Nothing complicated about it. Manual switching is possible by pressing the input button on the front of the switcher. Selected input source is indicator on the front of the switcher.
What ever the signal source input is the signal source output. Example if you put Toslink Audio in you will get Toslink audio out. If you put Stereo (Red White RCA jacks in) that is what you will get out.

The VS-502 provides the necessary A/V inputs for adding components to your TV and home theater system. The Model VS-502 has five Audio/Video inputs including Component video, S-Video and digital audio plus dual outputs to feed your TV and either a receiver or VCR for recording. The VS-502 will help make the transition to HDTV easy!

Video Up-Conversion - Only One Connection Needed
Putting the ability to switch three different video types in one unit would be great, but the ability to up convert your composite to s-video and composite and s-video to component video - WOW! The VS-502 has 5 composite video inputs, 3 s-video and 2 component inputs. You no longer need to select different inputs on your TV. Select the DVD player (component input), the satellite receiver (s-video) or the VCR (composite video) - each one is digitally converted to the best possible picture using an advanced digital comb filter and sent to the component video output to your TV.
Auto Input Sensing detects the current unit in use and automatically connects to that input, without you having to push any buttons! Here’s how:
Turn on your VCR and the VS-502 selects the VCR input and feeds it to your TV.
Turn on your DVD unit and it will automatically select the DVD input.
Or select any input using the I/R Remote or the front panel buttons.
Volume Stabilization allows you to increase or decrease the dynamic range of the audio output.
Increase the dynamic range (loud becomes louder, soft becomes softer).
Decrease the dynamic range (loud becomes softer and soft becomes louder) to achieve a balanced sound.
Digital Audio Conversion can take the digital coaxial output from a DVD player and the digital optical output from a CD player and feed either a single optical or coaxial signal to your receiver.
